Who We Are

A Family on Mission in the Pacific

We are Lucian, Jaylyne, Isaac, Noah and Lavinia, the Tabacaru family. Originally from Brisbane, Queensland, we answered God's call to serve the communities of Northern Vanuatu full-time.

Years ago, before we were married, each of us knew we had hearts to serve overseas in ministry, having both served on short mission trips. Soon after we got married, we began talking more seriously about our heart for missions. However, raising little ones and climbing the corporate ladder became our norm in the early years. But this God-given dream continued to live in our hearts.

It was during the time that we were pregnant with our third child, Lavinia, that God really began igniting this dream again. We began praying more specifically into what He was speaking to us about. When Lavinia was 18 months old, after a lot of fasting and prayer we went to visit Vanuatu. In our hearts, we knew that this is where God was leading us.

While in Vanuatu, we said Yes to God's calling to come back and serve as full-time missionaries. We returned to Australia and continued to pray and seek God for the journey ahead. Twelve months after returning we took a bold step of faith and began preparing our house for sale, wrapping up our business and our lives in Australia. Our house sold at the first Open Home inspection! God's favour was evident as He was making a way for us to serve in Vanuatu. Everything fell into place with ease. We moved to Vanuatu on August 5th, 2019.

We have a long-term vision of serving the people here in Northern Vanuatu. With God's strength, peace and provision, we give all we have For The One.

What We Do

5 Programs. 3 Pillars. 1 Mission.

Every program we run is rooted in our three core pillars: health, community development, and evangelism.

Medical Outreach

Delivering healthcare services to remote communities with limited access to formal medical facilities.

Health

Teen Girl Ministry

Mentorship and support for adolescent girls, addressing developmental and social needs in remote communities.

Community

Kids Sports (Rugby)

Using rugby as a vehicle for community building, physical development and positive youth engagement.

Community

Support School

Small-scale educational initiative complementing the formal education system with qualified teaching support.

Community

Disaster Relief

Rapid response when communities are affected by cyclones, earthquakes or volcanic activity.

Health

For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent?

As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

Where We Serve

Espiritu Santo, Northern Vanuatu

Espiritu Santo is the largest island in Vanuatu, located in the northern part of the archipelago. With Luganville as the primary urban centre, communities are spread across remote areas with limited access to government services.
