Work Description

Scope: Job: New granny flat build on my property Property: 14 Banksia Drive, Capalaba, 4157 QLD Trade: General Building. Site Assessment: 60m² granny flat (secondary dwelling) at rear of property. Access: Via existing side driveway. Site Characteristics: Slight slope (approx. 500mm fall front to rear), established garden.

Use spotters for all plant and vehicle movements

PPE Requirements

Hard hat (AS/NZS 1801)
High visibility vest/clothing
Safety footwear - steel-capped boots
Safety glasses or goggles
Gloves (task-specific)
Hearing protection (where required)
Respiratory protection (where dust or fumes present)

Plant & Equipment

Power tools (drills, saws, grinders)
Hand tools
Ladders and step platforms
Scaffolding
Lifting equipment

Licences & Competencies

White Card (General Construction Induction)
Relevant trade licence/certificate of competency
High Risk Work Licence (if applicable)

Emergency Procedures

In event of injury: call 000, administer first aid, notify supervisor immediately
In event of fire: evacuate, call 000, do not re-enter site
In event of chemical spill: isolate area, refer to SDS, notify supervisor
Emergency assembly point to be nominated at pre-start briefing

Environmental Controls

Contain and dispose of waste in accordance with environmental regulations
Prevent stormwater contamination from site run-off
Store chemicals in bunded areas with spill kits available
Minimise noise and dust impacts on neighbouring properties
